Provincial Law no.13 of 15 November 2022 mandated the presence of “environmental referent teachers” in Trentino schools whose main tasks consist in promoting the teaching of environmental issues by envisioning, running and promoting initiatives spanning all disciplines.

IPRASE (the Provincial Institute for Educational Research and Experimentation) and APPA (the Provincial Agency for Environmental Protection) were called on to arrange specialist vocational training to give environmental referent teachers the necessary cultural and professional skills to deal with critical environmental issues.

Together with IPRASE and APPA we designed the training course “The environmental education to sustainability in the schools” caractherized by a multidisciplinary approach and addressed to all teachers, especially to environmental referent teachers of Trentino.
